Robert G. Emmond House

Frank Lloyd Wright designed this Queen Anne while "moonlighting" during his employment with Adler & Sullivan in 1892. It is one of eight known "bootleg" homes in Chicagoland.

Emmond was an early settler of LaGrange. He was the first village forester.

Owners of this home in legal squabble with village officials

This home made headlines in the Chicago Tribune this week as its current owners, Michael Tomasian and Shannon Mough, recently finished a two-year long renovation of the historical 8,000 square foot home, which was built in 1888 by La Grange founder Franklin D. Cossitt. La Grange officials have filed a law suit against the couple alleging that they failed to install a storm sewer line as required in their approved building plan, made an unauthorized sewer connection, and moved in without an occupancy permit. La Grange officials have also reportedly received complaints from neighbors alleging the couple's property is flooding their yards. However, Tomasian and his attorney, Tom Beyer, insist that the home's well system was built to code. The case has not yet gone to trial.
