Bigger price tag than a neighbor down the block

On paper, the homes at 1320 Wessling and 1303 Wessling appear to be very similar: 4 bedrooms, 2 1/2 bathrooms, similar lot size, similar room dimensions. 1303 is a short sale, however, and is on a corner (which some folks like, and some folks don't!). 1320 is disappointing in the partial basement that offers only 1 room, which is decked out strictly as an exercise facility: black rubbery matted floor, lots of training equipment stacked around the room. No family room or bedroom etc in the basement level to expand the usability of that space for today's family lifestyle. And there is no bathroom facility in the basement. The first floor layout is an enormous living room/great room concept with slider doors to the back yard. Laundry is on the first floor (better than being in the basement). The master bath is newer with a whirlpool tub and separate shower, nicely appointed with a terrific skylight.
