This townhome is one of several complexes developed by a builder on Chicago's North Shore named Bleitz. The floor plan is essentially the same, regardless of which complex you might be visiting. They can be found in Evanston, Wilmette, and Winnetka as far as I know. The pricing varies quite a bit, depending on which community the complex was built in.
This particular unit is really attractive, with a completely remodeled kitchen that has a slider door to the side yard that feels very private, although it is a common element in the association. A particularly attractive (and roomy!) powder room is off the living room/dining area. As is standard with the Bleitz homes, there is a very generous master bedroom and a smaller but adequate secod bedroom on the second floor.
The bonus to these homes is the attic, which is easily reached by climbing the stairs through a closet door in the master bedroom. This attic is not finished, but provides a huge amount of storage space.
A key factor to this home is the location: across the street from New Trier High School, and a short block to the Indian Hill Metra train station. The pedestrian and vehicular traffic in front of this house is extremely heavy during the school year. And the proximity to the Metra station means a strong dose of train warning horns. But like Chicagoans who live beside the "L" train tracks, "you get used to it!"
The home is bright (faces north, south, and west)and shows very well. Good space for perhaps a family of 3. After that, it's crowded. I know - I own a Bleitz townhouse myself!
