Environmental lawyer, investment banker spend $1.73M in Old Town

David A. Rickard and Faith Bugel bought a four-bedroom, 5.1 bath in Lincoln Park at 1834 N. Mohawk for $1.73 million from Chicago Title Land Trust Co. on Oct. 22.

Chicago Title paid $2.75 million for the property in Jan. 2003 from Scott H. Rupple and his wife, Jill. The Rupples bought the property for $2 million in Nov. 2000.

The home was on the market for $1.95 million.

Bugel is a staff attorney for the Environmental Law & Policy Center in Chicago. She works on clean air litigation and clean energy policy issues.

She was previously an environmental litigation associate with the law firm of Sidley & Austin.

The New Jersey native received her J.D. from the Northwestern University School of Law (1998). She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Chicago.

Rickard attended the University of Chicago as well. He's served as a vice president and director with the Boston Consulting Group in Chicago.
