Dr. Michael D. Ellis and his wife, Nicole Furno, bought a home at 4014 N. Clark St. in Lake View for $495,000 from Sterling and Naomi Simpson on June 2.
Dr. Ellis is an instructor in neuroscience at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago. He specializes in training physical and occupational therapists with a special focus on the treatment of patients who have suffered a stroke.
He earned his M.D. and his master's in physical therapy from Emory University in Atlanta and his bachelor's in exercise science from the University of Iowa.
