Dr. Jacob Sznajder and his wife, Elena, bought a townhome at 2749 N. Kenmore for $975,000 on July 6 from Richard Wilde III.

Wilde paid $720,000 for the property, located just south of Diversey Ave., in Aug. 2002.

Dr. Sznajder is Chief of the Pulmonary and Critical Care Division of the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University.

The Sznajders moved to the United States from Israel in 1986. Mr. Sznajder attended medical school at the Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa, Israel and Mrs. Sznajder earned a master's degree in sociology from the University of Chicago.

Originally from Uruguay, the Sznajders lived in their homeland until moving to Israel in 1976.
