Attorney Hamilton Hill and his wife, Traci, bought a four-bedroom, 4.1 bath in Lincoln Park at 1701 W. Wrightwood for $965,000 on March 21 from Robert Grotz and Gregory Rosow.
Grotz and Rosow paid $715,000 for the property in Aug. 1999.
The sale was listed for $1.096 million.
Mr. Hill is a partner at Bartlit Beck Herman Palenchar & Scott LLP in Chicago, a firm he's been with since 2001.
He was a standout student athlete at the University of Kansas, lettering in football and graduating with a perfect GPA. He was First Team Academic All Big 12 for the Jayhawks in 1997 and was one of four conference players to letter and have a 4.0. Hamilton spent his collegiate career a backup quarterback and left with a year of eligibility to attend law school at the University of Chicago, where he was graduated in 2001.
He was a standout three-sport athlete at Wichita Collegiate School in Wichita, Kan. He attended the school the same time as DeAngelo Evans, who went on to play running back for the University of Nebraska and Emporia State. Hill's younger brother Harrison played receiver with the Jayhawks as well.
The Hills also own a condo at 1760 W. Diversey, Unit #3E, for which they paid $473,000 in July 2004.
