Intellectual property lawyer sells for $1M on Wrightwood

Douglas L. Sawyer and his wife, Wendy, sold their four-bedroom, three bath at 444 W. Wrightwood in Lincoln Park for $1 million to Nicholas Gross on Oct. 16.

The Sawyers paid $925,000 for Unit #A in Sept. 2005.

Mr. Sawyer is an associate specializing in intellectual property litigation and enforcement in the Denver office of national law firm Perkins Coie, which he joined earlier this year.

He spent six years as an associate in the Chicago office of Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw LLP. He has also worked as a plant manager for Olympic Food Products Inc. in Kokomo, Ind., as a quality control coordinator for the Downs Food Group, Inc., in St. James, Minn.

Mr. Sawyer received his J.D. from the DePaul University College of Law (2001) and his bachelor's in Biology from the University of Illinois (1996).
