David and Kate Schuppan bought a three-bedroom, two-bath home at 132 E. Fifth St. in Hinsdale from Kevin M. Boyle for $2.587 million on Sept. 30.
Boyle paid $1.95 million for the property in Jan. 2003. The 4,278-square-foot home in the South Hinsdale/Robbins Park neighborhood was built in 1907.
Schuppan is a health care services and facilities private equity investor and the principal at Cressey & Company, a private investment firm which specializes in investing in and developing health care businesses. Prior to his position at Cressey & Company, he was a vice president at Thoma Cressey Equity Partners, an associate at Miller Buckfire Lewis Ying & Co. and an analyst at Bear, Stearns & Co.
He received his B.S. from Indiana University and his M.B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School.
According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 221 home sales in Hinsdale during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $755,000.
