Engineer, consulting VP buy 4BD in Wilmette

Eliot Joslin and Rebecca Joslin bought a four-bedroom, 2.5-bath home at 706 Illinois Road in Wilmette from Steven Struhl for $507,000 on Nov. 7.

The 1,551-square-foot house was built in 1894.

Mr. Joslin works as a lead WebSphere engineer at Health Care Service Corp.

Prior to that, he worked as web infrastructure manager for Chicago Public Schools. He was also a systems administrator at PartMiner, Inc., and digital photographer at Apartments.com.

Mr. Joslin graduated from Ohio University and received his M.F.A. in photography from the University of Illinois-Chicago.

Ms. Joslin serves as the vice president of Advisory Services at IEG, LLC, a provider of independent research, consulting, training, and analysis on sponsorship.

Prior to that, she worked as news editor and proofreader at Inlighten, Inc., and Edit Ink. She earned her B.A. in English from the State University of New York College-Buffalo.

Struhl serves as the director of Marketing Sciences at Maritz Research.

His recent work experience includes a position as senior vice president and senior methodologist at Harris Interactive. He also worked as the director of market research at SPSS, Inc., and held senior positions in financial services, advertising and consulting.

Struhl received his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago, his doctorate in psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, and his M.A. and B.A. from Boston University.

There were 203 home sales in Wilmette in 2008, with a median sales price $682,500.
