Connor and Megan Riley bought a condo at 2501 N. Wayne Ave. in Lincoln Park from Martin Gingg and Alexandra Baudenbacher for $615,000 on May 4.
Gingg and Baudenbacher paid $579,000 for the property in Dec. 2006. The unit is part of the Piano Factory Townhomes development, which was built in the Wrightwood Neighbors subdivision in 1895.
Mr. Riley is the director of sales and events at the Wall Street Journal Office Network. Prior to joining the Wall Street Journal, he was an account executive at NCI Mobility, a supervisor at Relay Sports & Event Marketing and an account coordinator at Starcom Sports Marketing.
He graduated from Loyola Academy in 1995 and Drake University in 1999.
Sales at the Piano Factory Townhomes fell 75 percent from 2007-2008. The median sales price rose 7 percent during that time.
There were 666 condo sales in Lincoln Park in 2008, with a median sales price of $385,000.
