Clearing services exec gets Goose Island 3BD

Medium de1a3db1b65bae28295a86d732389796 David J. Azkoul bought a three-bedroom, three-bath townhome at 1012 N. Kingsbury St. in Goose Island from Linnea C. Stack and Dr. Cory Lee Coniff for $578,000 on May 6.

Dr. Conniff and Stack acquired the property for $634,000 in Dec. 2004. The 2,400-square-foot townhouse is part of the River Village Townhomes, which were built 2004.

Azkoul works in the consulting and research division of Linn Group, a company which offers clearing services for brokers, commercial hedgers, CTAs and futures traders. He was with the Andersons Inc. for more than 13 years, worked in commodity risk management for Campbell Soup Co., and has consulted for INSSINC, a hedge accounting software company.

He received his bachelor’s in agriculture economics and business marketing from Michigan State University and his master’s in finance from Western Michigan University.

Stack serves as a corporate associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP in Chicago. Her areas of practice include asset finance and securitization. Prior to that, she worked as an extern for the Honorable Wayne R. Andersen of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

She earned her bachelor’s from the University of Michigan and her J.D. from Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago-Kent College of Law.

Dr. Coniff is a rheumatologist at La Grange Memorial Hospital. He has also been affiliated with Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital, Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital, and Adventist Hinsdale Hospital.

He earned his M.D. from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and completed his residency at the University Of Illinois College of Medicine.

Sales at the River Village Townhomes fell 14.3 percent from 2007-08, while the median sales price dropped 6.4 percent during that time.

There were 42 home sales in Goose Island in 2008, with a median price of $358,000.
