Furniture company manager buys in Glenview

Kevin Shapin bought a one-bath home at 2301 Silverpine Dr. in Glenview from Jean Melzer for $360,000 on May 15.

The 1,441-square-foot house, which was built in 1959, is in South Glenview.

Shapin is a sales manager at Covers Unlimited Inc., a company that does furniture reupholstering, refinishing custom furniture and leather refurbishment.

He attended the University of Kansas.

There were 426 home sales in the Glenview in 2008, with a median price of $436,000.
