Dr. Sepideh Sazegari and Koorosh B. Beigian sold a condo at 950 N. Clark St. in Near North to Dean and Heidi Engelage for $1.175 million on May 15.

Sazegari and Beigian paid $1.01 million for Unit #54A in July 2003. It is part of the Oak Club condominium development, which was built in 1996.

Dr. Sazegari has served as a chemist at General Electric.

She earned her B.S. in chemistry at the University of Louisville and her D.M.D. at University of Louisville School of Dentistry. She completed her residency at Montefiore Hospital in New York City.

Mr. Beigian is a senior vice president and chief information officer for Combined Insurance Co., of America. Previously, he was chief executive officer for Science Reagents and served as the chief information officer for AFLAC's U.S. operation.

He earned his B.S. in information systems and his M.B.A. at Middle Tennessee State University.

Mr. Engelage is president at Forwoodco LLC, a company engaged in the design and manufacture of outdoor furniture. He previously worked in purchasing and food and beverage at American Airlines and was a financial analyst at General Dynamics.

He attended the Texas A&M University Mays Business School.

Sales at the Oak Club were down 50 percent from 2007-08, while the median sales price fell 3.6 percent during that time.

There were 405 sales in Near North in 2008, with a median price of $407,250.
