Former Chicago Cubs pitcher Mark Prior has listed for sale his four bedroom, three-bath townhome at 2501 N. Wayne Ave. in Lincoln Park for the asking price of $695,000.

Prior paid $680,000 for Unit #5 in Dec. 2002. It's part of the Piano Factory Townhomes, a 22-unit development in the Wrightwood Neighbors neighborhood.

Lillian Khattar of Koenig & Stray real estate is the listing agent for the property.

Prior, 28, spent five seasons in Chicago from 2002-2006, including a breakout season in 2003 that saw him help lead the Cubs into the National League Championship Series and come within five outs of a World Series berth. Prior went 18-6 with a 2.43 ERA that season, finished third in the voting for the N.L. Cy Young Award and earned the only All-Star nod of his career. He won Game 2 of the NLCS against the Florida Marlins but was also on the mound for the fateful Game 6, when the Marlins rallied from a 3-0 deficit in the eighth inning to force Game 7 and eventually win the series.

Prior struggled with injuries for much of his time after 2003 in Chicago, winning a combined 18 games over the next three seasons. He missed the 2007 season entirely with a shoulder injury and parted ways with the club following the season, signing a one-year deal with the San Diego Padres for 2008. He missed that season with nagging shoulder problems, and signed a minor league contract with the Padres for 2009. He's currently part of the club's minor league system.

Originally drafted second overall by the Cubs in the 2001 Major League Baseball Draft, Prior was drafted after Minnesota Twins standout Joe Mauer and ahead of New York Yankees star Mark Teixera and Chicago White Sox pitcher Gavin Floyd. Prior starred in college at USC.

There were 661 condo sales in Lincoln Park in 2008, with a median sales price of $375,000.
