Rowen B. Bell and Roberta A. Harris bought a five-bedroom, three-bath home at 1130 Paulina St. in Oak Park from Jon and Elizabeth Pevehouse for $575,000 on Oct. 8.

The 2,570-square-foot house in the Northwest Oak Park neighborhood was built in 1894.

Mr. Bell is an actuary at Health Care Service Corp., in Chicago. He joined the company in 2007. He was a senior manager of insurance and actuarial advisory services at Ernst & Young, director of financial regulatory services with the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association and he worked for Trustmark Insurance as an assistant vice president for corporate actuarial.

He earned a B.S. in mathematics from Queen's University in Canada in 1992 and a M.B.A. in accounting and finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2005.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 583 home sales in Oak Park during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $310,000.
