The Stifflears bought the property for $752,000 in March 2003. The 2,344-square-foot house was built in 1993 in the North Hinsdale neighborhood. Elizabeth Gonzalez of County Line Properties is the listing agent.

Mr. Stifflear has served as the managing director at PPM America, a company that provides investment advisory services. He was a principal at William Blair & Co. for nine years until 2007.

He attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign College of Business.
