Kenneth and Marcia Rapoport bought a four-bedroom, three-bath home at 3310 Sunset Trail in Northbrook from Mason Gen Corp. for $675,000 on Jan. 5.

Mason Gen Corp. paid $950,000 for the property in June 2008. The 3,387-square-foot house was built in 1957 in the West Northbrook neighborhood.

Mr. Rapoport is a certified public accountant with a private practice in Skokie. He specializes in individual and small business accounting, consulting and taxation. He previously was a partner with a Prospect Heights CPA firm.

He earned his B.B.A. in public accounting from Loyola University of Chicago and his M.S. in taxation from DePaul University.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 456 home sales in Northbrook during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $398,500.
