University of Chicago professor sells South Shore home

Medium f233166b6ed6b1f9b9f50a45d6b66adb Dario Maestripieri and Kelly A. Carroll sold a five-bath home at 6754 S. Euclid Ave. in South Shore to Stacy E. Parks-Occomy for $570,000.

Maestripieri and Carroll paid $725,000 for the 3,000-square-foot property in Oct. 2004. It was built in 1924 in the Jackson Park Highlands subdivision.

Maestripieri is a professor of comparative human development, evolutionary biology, neurobiology, and psychiatry at the University of Chicago.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 440 home sales in South Shore in the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $50,500.
