Consulting co. CEO picks East Wilmette 5BD

Medium d81f2478c2cebba0534da6aec7aa6e2a Brian Fabes, Ph.D. and Lisa Fabes bought a five-bedroom, 3.5-bath home at 108 Woodbine Ave. in Wilmette from Stephen E. Schlickman and Alison F. Schlickman for $840,000 on Jan. 6.

The Schlickmans paid $845,000 for the property in May 2000. The 1,984-square-foot house was built in 1912 in East Wilmette.

Dr. Fabes is the chief executive officer of Civic Consulting Alliance, a city consulting company. Before joining Civic Consulting, he was senior vice president at National-Louis University. Prior to that, he was an acting provost and vice president for planning at NLU.

He earned his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in materials science and engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Mr. Schlickman serves as the president at Schlickman & Associates. He is also an executive director at Urban Transportation Center in the University of Illinois-Chicago and an adjunct lecturer.

He earned an A.B. in government and theology from Georgetown University and a J.D. from the DePaul University College of Law.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 333 home sales in Wilmette during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $605,000.
