Professor, internist sell South Shore 4BD

Medium fe5f5abddb807062ab3cfb4f42a3e5bc Paul Rathouz and Dr. Elizabeth A. Jacobs sold a four-bedroom, four-bath home at 6956 S. Constance Ave. in South Shore to John F. Hannah for $550,000 on April 14.

Rathouz and Dr. Jacobs paid $612,500 for the property in Jan. 2004. The 3,264-square-foot house was built in 1944 in the Jackson Park Highlands subdivision.

Mr. Rathouz is professor and chair in the department of biostatistics & medical informatics at the University of Wisconsin. Prior to that, he served as associate professor of biostatistics in the department of health studies at the University of Chicago where he previously was assistant professor.

He earned his bachelor's degree in mathematics from Rice University, his master's degree in biostatistics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his Ph.D. in biostatistics from Johns Hopkins University.

Dr. Jacobs, an internist, is associate professor in the department of internal medicine, preventive medicine at Rush Medical College.

She earned her bachelor's degree from Stanford University, her medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine and her master's degree from the University of Chicago, Irving B. Harris Graduate School of Public Policy. She completed her general internal medicine training at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston and her fellowship at the University of Chicago.
