Professors buy Rogers Park home

Medium 7ed0118afc93e726a796b8d4b90107ef Noah W. Sobe and Amy Shuffelton bought a two-bath home at 6541 N. Greenview Ave. in Rogers Park from Frances M. Henry and Jacqueline M. Henry for $275,000 on April 14.

The 1,728-square-foot house was built in 1910.

Mr. Sobe is associate professor and graduate program director of cultural and educational policy studies at Loyola University Chicago's School of Education. He also serves as executive director at The Village Project Inc.

He earned his bachelor's degree in history and international relations from Tufts University, his master's degree in international and transcultural studies from Teachers College, Columbia University and his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Ms. Shuffelton is assistant professor of educational foundations at the University of Wisconsin Whitewater. She also serves as vice president at The Village Project Inc., an international educational development organization.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 355 home sales in Rogers Park during the past 12 months, with a median sale price of $192,000.
