Marcus Sakey and Glendyn Sakey bought a two-bath, 1,102-square-foot home at 3516 N. Hamilton Ave. in Roscoe Village from Ludwig Zebrauskas and Jeanne Ryan for $552,500 on April 13.

Ryan paid $408,000 for the property in Dec. 2000. The 1,102-square-foot home was built in 1880.

Mr. Sakey is the author of the crime novels The Blade Itself, At The City's Edge and Good People.

He attended the University of Michigan.

The Sakeys previously sold Unit #3 at 833 W. Buckingham Place in Lake View for $300,000 on April 19.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 126 home sales in Roscoe Village during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $435,750.
