Gary P. Brinson and Monique Brinson bought a four-bed, two-bath home at 1465 W. Cullom Ave. in Ravenswood from Eric Langshur and Dr. Sharon A. Langshur for $1.2 million on July 14.

The property was previously acquired for $875,000 in Aug. 2000. The 2,125-square-foot house, which was built in 1922, is in Graceland West subdivision.

Mr. Brinson is the founder at asset management firm Brinson Partners which later became UBS. He also served as an exec at UBS Global Asset Management and at Swiss Bank Corporation.

He received a bachelor's degree from Seattle University and an M.B.A. from Washington State University.

Mr. Langshur is the co-founder, CEO and director at CarePages Inc., an online medical database. He was previously president at United Technologies ONSI Corp, a provider of commercial fuel cell.

He received a bachelor's degree from the University Of New Brunswick and an M.B.A. from Columbia University.

Dr. Langshur is the co-founder and VP of administration at CarePages Inc. She previously was a pediatric resident at Children's Memorial Hospital.

She received a bachelor's degree from McGill University and a master's degree from Sarah Lawrence College. She was also conferred a medical degree at the University of Connecticut.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 282 home sales in Ravenswood during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $348,500.
